Honored at the Cannes Film Festival in 1954, this is an accomplished work from Aleksander Ford, one of the leading figures in the development of Polish cinema. A gang of five juvenile delinquents are put on probation after a Robbery in post-war Warsaw and find themselves torn between reforming and going back to their criminal ways. This was one of the first major Polish films to be shot in color, and Andrzej Wajda was one of the assistant directors. In Polish with English subtitles.
