Description

A film about the late Guy Gabaldon, the Pied Piper of Saipan. Raised by a        Japanese-American family in East Los Angeles, this Hispanic youth joined the     U.S. Marines during WWII and is credited with the surrender and capture of       1500 Japanese soldiers during the Battle of Saipan. This heroic act got him    nominated for the Medal of Honor, but many believe his heritage was the reason he was only awarded a Silver Star and the Navy Cross Medal. Since then,        various organizations (and this documentary) have been calling for the East      L.A. Marine to finally get the recognition he deserves. In English with        Steve Rubin---USA---2008---77 mins.
