Four of Chaplin's greatest films are included in this set.
The Gold Rush
(1925, 72 mins.) features some of the most famous images Chaplin brought to the screen: the cooking of the shoe, the dinner roll dance, and the teetering cabin in the wilderness.
Modern Times
(1936, 88 mins.) is a brilliant commentary on the mechanisms of industrial society overtaking the individual. Although it is often cited as Chaplin's last silent film, it makes inventive use of music and sound effects.
The Great Dictator

Limelight
(1952, 150 mins.) is Chaplin's final tribute to the British dancehall of his youth and also stars Buster Keaton. Charles Chaplin---USA---1925-1952---434 mins.

Charlie Chaplin's silent homage to the human spirit, in which Chaplin is the victim of industrial boom. He plays a factory worker gone looney by the assembly line, who falls in love with a down-and-out young lady and tries through various and eccentric means to find a bit of financial peace. A great comedy, and a great film.
