2 EVERYTHING, 2 TERRIBLE II: TOKYO DRIFT

The folks at Everything Is Terrible! return with another hour-long frappuccino of kitschy VHS goodness, this time with something approaching a plot, although I'm laughing too hard to describe it. It involves racist rabbits, perfect killing machines, self-pleasuring beefcakes, and the revelation of a secret Christian plot to zombify the world's children with a religious robot. "Simultaneously enlightening, hilarious, and deeply sad" (The Onion AV Club).

ANIMAL CHARM- GOLDEN DIGEST
Our Price: $24.95

Masterfully remixed by comic cut-ups Jim Fetterley and Rich Bott, these wildly   inventive montages are jam-packed with uncanny juxtapositions, startling         dislocations, and ingenious visual rhymes. By re-editing elements assembled      from the banal detritus of infomercials, corporate videos, and late-night TV,  Fetterley and Bott scramble media codes and create a kind of tic-ridden,       convulsive collage that re-invests conventional forms with subversive          meanings. "Animal Charm use sight and sound to generate a particular type of     laughter: the uncanny kind that overtakes you like a seizure" (San          Jim Fetterley/Rich Bott---USA---1996-2005---86 mins.

Home Made (David Lachman, 2004, 5 mins.) explores the ambiguous region between the familiar and the unfamiliar through depictions of common objects and experiences, like buying and eating ice cream. Robin Red Breast (Toni Latour, 2004, 6 mins.) finds director Toni Latour imitating a robin as a means for linking animal behavior with human socialization.         Bambini (Liz Notziger, 2004, 8 mins.) interrogates religion, politics, and pop-culture using voyeurism and humor.
