Totally over the top. R-rated teen comedy meets found-footage carnage. Three normal high school bros (Thomas Mann, Oliver Cooper, and Jonathan Daniel Brown) want to make a name for themselves before the end of their senior year. So they throw a house party when Mann’s parents leave him alone on his birthday. But then they tell the internet about it, the party goes viral--IRL--and the crib gets destroyed in the name of drunken debauchery. With thousands of kids partying and tens of hours of footage culled from DV cams, flip phones, police videos, and news coverage, Project X is like Animal House and Cloverfield had a kid…and the kid refused to put down its iPhone and jungle juice.
