In this Irish psychological thriller from Gerard Stembridge (About Adam), a young journalist (Ruth Bradley) flees to an expensive flat in the countryside after living through some undisclosed trauma in Dublin. She declines a costly (titular) alarm system, which proves to be a mistake. At a housewarming party, she meets a handsome man (Aidan Turner), who ultimately moves in with her. Though his presence helps her to get over her hang-ups and depression, a series of increasingly malicious burglaries threatens to push her back over the edge.
