The Lawrence Jordan Album (1957-2007, 465 mins.) consists of short animations like Moonlight Sonata, the animated retelling of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (narrated by Orson Welles), a trilogy of films dedicated to poet and novelist Hilda Doolittle, and much more. In the case of James Broughton, the director's very personal work opened the door for diary films with an eye toward the erotic and the poetic.
