In this Australian crime thriller, Jackie Weaver plays the menacing matriarch of a family of criminals (Ben Mendelsohn, Luke Ford, Sullivan Stapleton) involved in drugs and murder. When an unaware nephew (James Frecheville) is forced to move into their animal kingdom, a vigilante detective (Guy Pearce) tries to help the teen while nailing his extended family. As an outside contender, Jacki Weaver was nominated for an Academy Award for her extraordinary supporting role.
