Based on a Philip K. Dick short story, this noir-ish sci-fi romance stars Matt Damon as David, a handsome New York politician who loses a big race, but wins by meeting the beautiful Elise (Emily Blunt) on election night. He falls for her, but soon begins noticing mysterious men in gray suits who seem to be rigging everyday life. Enter John Slattery, who straight-up admits these men are part of "The Adjustment Bureau," a secret organization responsible for the small sneezes and squashed butterflies that shape human history. And they have big plans for David. However, his new sweetheart is deemed off limits. For true love, David and Elise try to run-and-gun away from a predestined outcome. Marks the directorial debut of the writer of Ocean's Twelve and The Bourne Ultimatum.
