Steven Spielberg's whiz-bang, motion-captured blockbuster based on Herge's adventure comics. Set in mid-20th century Europe, a young reporter named Tintin (Jamie Bell) buys a model ship that's coveted by Sakharine (Daniel Craig), a powerful man. As we soon learn, the model was one of three replicas of a giant 17th century warship captained by Sir Francis Haddock, with each model holding a clue to Haddock's treasure. When Sakharine steals Tintin's ship, he and Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis), )Sir Francis' ancestor, set off to reclaim the model and hunt for the sunken ship. Featuring the Nick Frost and Simon Pegg as detectives trying to keep up. Nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Score (John Williams).
