Ewan McGregor stars as the nerdy fisheries biologist with Emily Blunt as the British go-to administrator of the Arab sheik with a dream of bringing salmon fishing into Yemen. Based on a popular novel by Paul Torday, the film is beautifully shot and features strong performances, though much of the edginess and irony has been sacrificed for the blooming romantic arc between Blunt, her boyfriend, and ultimately, McGregor.
