The second film in the Evil Dead trilogy is less a sequel than a remake    determined to outdo the original. It succeeds in that mission through even       more wild, eye-catching camera movements, and a combination of slapstick humor   and gore that took the horror genre to new heights of delirium. Bruce          Campbell, emerging as a cult star at this point, returns to another house in   the woods where the pages of The Necronomicon again bring forth the      dead.
