All the more chilling for its subtlety, this film dramatizes the January 20,     1942 meeting among top Nazi officials that established the "final solution,"     resulting in the loss of some six million lives. Based on the only surviving     record of that meeting, this is an intelligently scripted and extremely well   acted speculation on the pivotal moment that set in motion the Holocaust.      Kenneth Branagh won an Emmy award for his portrayal of Reinhard Heydrich and   Stanley Tucci won a Golden Globe for his role as Adolf Eichmann. The meeting     was previously dramatized in the 1984 feature, The Wannsee Conference.
