With Star Wars, Close Encounters and Alien having launched   a science fiction movie revival, the makers of this sci-fi spoof certainly had     their timing right. It's not the gags that have made this film a cult item,      however, but its star, the beautiful Dorothy Stratten. The former Playboy      Playmate of the Year was given plenty of revealing outfits to wear for her     role as a robot on board a 31st century space cruiser who falls in love with   one of the crew members. Tragically, Stratten, only 21 years old, was murder  ed the same year the film was released.                                           William Sachs---USA---1980---88 mins.
