Stylish epic or future camp classic? You decide as Luc Besson tells the story    of Joan of Arc as something like a manic remake of Braveheart, with        loads of action and a few pauses for some melodramatic spirituality. Despite     the onslaught of negative criticism that greeted the film, it was enormously   successful in France, confirming Besson's place as one of the country's most   popular filmmakers. Milla Jovovich (briefly Mrs. Besson) shrieks and shakes    her way through the title role, while Dustin Hoffman whispers ominously as       "The Conscience," and John Malkovich and Faye Dunaway try their best as        Charles VII and Yolande D'Aragon.
