Description

Alfred Hitchcock's macabre comedy about the manic efforts of a group of          Vermont residents to dispatch a dead body that refuses to stay buried. Framed    by the director's usual preoccupation with sin, guilt and redemption, with       some excellent performances by Edmund Gwenn, Shirley MacLaine and John         Forsythe. Brilliantly photographed by Robert Burks, with a nicely understated  Bernard Herrmann score. Jerry Mathers (Leave It to Beaver) plays         Alfred Hitchcock---USA---1955---99 mins.
