In 1929, at the close of the Age of Sail, amateur filmmaker and ship captain Irving Johnson set forth on his three-masted schooner Peking for a trip around the storm-plagued Cape Horn. The result is one of the greatest adventure stories ever filmed, a thrilling you-are-there view of the incredible dangers that sailors faced every day.
