Mae Marsh, Lillian Gish, Mary Pickford and Blanche Sweet are among those         featured in these three landmark Griffith westerns, including: The Battle     at Elderbush Gulch (1913), Lola's Promise (1912) and The Goddess     of Sagebrush Gulch (1912). Elderbush was considered by Griffith to be the third best film he ever made.
