Description

The Friedman family lived a seemingly normal life in Great Neck, New York,       until Arnold Friedman, a respected teacher, and his youngest son Jesse were      accused of molesting multiple children. Throughout the arrest, trial and         eventual imprisonment of Arnold and Jesse, the family continued their          tradition of documenting their lives with home videos. Filmmaker Andrew        Jarecki uses these intimate tapes, along with interviews with the family, to   present a jarring, powerful document of the Friedman's legal and emotional       struggles. "Gripping, lacerating, moving, and tragic -- a work of documentary  art" (Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly).                            Andrew Jarecki---USA---2003---107 mins.
