Robert Altman's surreal, dreamy look into the lives of three women living in a   barren desert town finds the director at his most experimental. Reportedly       shot without a screenplay, the improvisational film centers on Pinky (Sissy      Spacek), a naive girl with an unusual attachment to her co-worker Millie       (Shelley Duvall, in a Cannes-award winning role).
