Contemporary American composer George Crumb wrote Makrokosmos I & II to expand   the world of color and sonic possibilities which a single piano and pianist      could create. In addition to playing the keyboard, the pianist strums and        plucks the strings, applies glass tumblers and paper to the piano's interior,  chants, whistles, and whispers. All 24 pieces are performed here by Margaret   Leng Tan, who worked closely with Crumb on the preparation of these works for  2004---110 mins.
