When floods destroy their homes, Angelina prompts the neighbors to move into an empty mansion belonging to Councillor Garrone. After becoming local spokeswoman for the neighbors' grievances, Angelina is arrested. Urged by her neighbors to run for elected office upon her release from prison, she refuses, preferring to return to her family. Starring the inimitable Anna Magnani.
