In this hilarious BBC comedy series, Gorden Kaye plays Rene Artois, the          proprietor of a small French cafe during Nazi occupation. In addition to         maintaining romantic affairs with his staff of waitresses and keeping his        customers fed and happy, Artois is running an underground operation for the    French resistance. The show follows the many twists and turns and close-calls  that Artois experiences as he tries to keep his activities a secret from the   Gestapo (and his wife).
