Takashi Miike's remake of Kinji Fukasaku's violent yakuza thriller, based on     the life of a real mob madman. Rikuo Ishimatsu (Goro Kishitani), a poor          dishwasher, saves the life of a yakuza boss and quickly rises through the        ranks of the Japanese crime underworld, thanks in large part to his unswerving loyalty and utter brutality. Still, most yakuza adhere to a code of honor.     Ishimatsu is not one of those yakuza.
