The same year that Road House was bestowed upon us, Patrick Swayze played Truman Gates in this rain-drenched revenge thriller. When his brother from the backwoods of Kentucky gets whacked by the mob, Truman, now a Chicago cop, must grapple with reverting to his hill-rod ways. He reluctantly goes after the gangsters (headed by Adam Baldwin), but not without the help of his kin, including bow-hunters, snake-handlers, and Liam Neeson. The only one not impressed with the bloody results is Truman's sophisticated wife (Helen Hunt). With Bill Paxton, Ben Stiller, and Michael J. Pollard.
