Description Technical Specs
Yolande Zauberman was nominated for a Cesar Award for this short documentary about an elderly man who looks back at his life in South Africa during Apartheid. For reasons he did not understand, he went from being what he thought was a white kid to being systematically classified as "half-caste," or mixed race, in the late 1940s--a distinction that forever changed his standing in society and even in his family. In English with French subtitles.
