In an effort to spread awareness of the history and heritage of blues music, the United States Congress named 2003 the "Year of the Blues" and a special kick-off concert was held at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. Antoine Fuqua documented the event in comprehensive fashion, capturing highlights both on and off the stage and later combining them with archival footage to create this exquisite documentary.
