Make your own animated movie using an iPad with master animator-illustrator-artist George Berlin. You will learn how to storyboard an animated film, design characters and setting, develop plot and backgrounds and make it all move in a wizardry of art and technology. For ages 10 and up (Requires an iPad 3 and up. Participants must download Animation Creator HD ($3.99) and Pinnacle Studio ($2.99) prior to program.) The Facets Kids Film Camp
summer enrichment program introduces kids ages 7–14 to the techniques,
language and process of filmmaking. Film educators, filmmakers, and
respected critics provide guidance in what it takes to understand,
create and analyze film.
Through screenings, discussions, and creative, hands-on exercises
that include making a movie and opinion writing, participants will
learn:
- Film appreciation, film vocabulary, and early film history.
- Basic film production techniques (story development, types of shots,
composition, screenwriting, storyboarding, acting, casting, lighting,
sound, editing, directing, production safety and communication).
- Written and verbal critique and review.
