Through a series of comic situations, we learn the history of two quarreling families who were relocated from Kresy to the regained territories after WWII. Much to their dismay, Pawlak (Waclaw Kowalski) and Kargul (Wladyslaw Hancza) have been resettled on neighboring farms. When Pawlak's son and Kargul's daughter fall madly in love, the families realize they're living out their own version of Romeo and Juliet. Funny dialogue, clever situations and famous actors make this a winning film for Polish audiences. Also known as Sami Swoi. In Polish with English subtitles.
