A hotly debated comedy from Iran, Snowman (Adam Barfi) tells the story of young Abbas (Akbar Abdi), a man desperate to immigrate to America. He's so anxious that he dresses as a woman in hopes of marrying an American man so he can become a full citizen. But how long can he go before being discovered? Davoud Mirbagheri's ticklish tale of cross-dressing taps into a common motif in Iranian culture--a character in a difficult situation must pass as a member of the opposite sex in order to get out of trouble.
