Description
This early Rankin/Bass TV special is a take on the 1845 Christmas fantasy by Charles Dickens, wherein a poor toymaker finds a magical cricket on his hearth one Christmas morning. Cricket Crockett becomes a savior to Caleb Plummer and his struggling family. Voices include Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas, Roddy McDowall, Ed Ames, Hans Conreid, and Abbe Lane.
