Description
Director Jia Zhang-Ke skillfully follows a group of musicians living in a remote section of China as they adapt to the social and political changes that occurred from 1979-1989 - years that saw the country reinventing itself in the wake of the Cultural Revolution. As modernity and Westernization hits their small village, the four friends see their lives and relationships change for the better and the worse. In Mandarin with English subtitles.
