Local 70

HSA Strike - 75
before it, this two-part film is another ground-level documentary on blue collar strife from Kartemquin Films.
Taylor Chain I
(1980) chronicles the gritty realities of a seven-week strike at a small chain factory in Indiana back in the early 1980s. Volatile union meetings and tension-filled interactions on the picket line provide an inside view of the labor negotiations.
Taylor Chain II
(1984) returns four years later to find labor and management working together against the odds to prevent the factory from moving overseas, putting people out of work, and dismantling a substantial blue-collar work force.
Jerry Blumenthal/Gordon Quinn---USA---1980/1984---63 mins.
